TRIC once again participated in the 2020 International Cultural Heritage Industry Expo, hosted by the Cultural Heritage Administration, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and Gyeongju City, and organized by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and HICO. Held over three days from November 26 to 28, the event featured 270 booths from 70 organizations across six sectors: heritage conservation, safety and disaster prevention, restoration, utilization, digital heritage, and museums. As the recipient of the 1st Heritage Korea Award, TRIC was honored to deliver the opening keynote presentation. We also operated a six-booth exhibition space showcasing our latest digital heritage innovations. In collaboration with the CHA’s Mobile Digital Heritage Experience Center, TRIC presented interactive media art performances inspired by Korea’s intangible heritage—including geomungo sanjo, salpuri dance, and pansori—as well as a 12K panoramic film celebrating Korean gardens and a multi-screen media art installation on Changdeokgung Palace. Additionally, TRIC shared two project case studies during concurrent academic events: <Tristram's woodpecker>, an inter-Korean ICT restoration initiative for natural heritage, <UNESCO World Heritage Digital Heritage Projects> at the 20th anniversary symposium of Korea National University of Cultural Heritage We extend our sincere thanks to all visitors who stopped by our booth and mobile experience center, and to the organizers of the Expo for their dedication and support.
