Between August and December 2020, TRIC built a gigapixel archive database of artworks housed at the Daejeon Museum of Art and developed an interactive media wall that allows visitors to explore the collection by theme and category.
The system also features an AI-powered art painting kiosk that turns visitor selfies into portraits in the style of featured artists. Additionally, TRIC created a mobile augmented reality docent app, offering personalized and engaging tours.
Notably, the media wall consists of two 80° angled screens, dividing artwork information from exhibition details for easy browsing. It also incorporates anamorphic media art techniques that use the L-shaped structure to create an optical illusion — making the media wall appear as a 3D display booth.
This installation offers visitors playful moments of interaction and discovery. The final version of the archive media wall was unveiled to the public in February 2021.
