Real Time World of the Historic Silla
Over the past decade, TRIC has led the Sorabol 1000 project—an independent digital restoration initiative focused on the ancient Silla royal capital located in Gyeongju, South Korea’s most historically rich city. Sorabol 1000 is a cinematic digital world that brings to life every element of the Silla capital—including terrain, vegetation, architecture, clothing, artifacts, culture, people, mythology, and history—within a single real-time platform. Designed for immediate use across various content fields such as gaming, film, media art exhibitions, and education, this platform delivers a high-quality visual experience. It allows audiences to immerse themselves in a moment where past and present converge, evoking the sensation of time travel.
Universal asset created through Unreal Engine
This project was built using Unreal Engine, the most widely adopted platform in the global immersive content industry. Its technical excellence earned it a feature on the official tech blog of Epic Games as a flagship case of digital heritage for developers worldwide.
