TRIC has completed the prestigious Grand Slam of global design awards—iF, Red Dot, and now IDEA—with its latest win at the 2024 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). The award recognizes the <Digital Stele of King Gwanggaeto the Great>, a project that exemplifies the use of technology to preserve national heritage and transform it into accessible public content.
This award-winning installation digitally reconstructs the original Gwanggaeto Stele, a cultural monument of the Goguryeo kingdom located in present-day China, at life size inside the permanent exhibition hall “The Path of History” at the National Museum of Korea. The immersive environment, enriched by a soundtrack titled “Memory of the Giant Stone” composed by Yang Bang-ean, allows all visitors to engage freely with this monumental piece of Korean heritage.
TRIC's previous wins include the iF Design Award for its Pensive Bodhisattva Media Tower at Incheon International Airport and the Red Dot Design Award for the Folding Screen media artwork. Together, these accolades solidify TRIC's position as a global leader in fusing technology with cultural storytelling through desisgn.
