TRIC, as part of the National Museum of Korea’s flagship heritage branding initiative, created a large-scale digital media artwork based on the Gyeongcheonsa Ten-Story Pagoda. The work was installed on a towering 27-meter media wall at Millennium Hall in Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport. Designated National Treasure No. 86, the Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda is a masterwork of late Goryeo stone architecture — a product of creative exchange with the Chinese Yuan Dynasty. Its intricate carvings and imposing form embody the pinnacle of Korean Buddhist art. TRIC employed ultra-high-resolution 3D scanning and HPBR (Heritage Physically Based Rendering) techniques to faithfully recreate the pagoda’s delicate details and structural beauty in immersive scale. The result is a vivid digital monument that brings one of Korea’s most iconic artifacts to life. The installation offers travelers a striking visual experience and highlights both the historical value of the pagoda and the sophistication of Korean digital heritage technologies. As a luminous centerpiece in one of the world’s busiest airports, it elevates Korea’s cultural legacy to a global audience.
