TRIC created an immersive virtual reality experience that brings to life Korea’s southern coastal dinosaur fossil sites — including Goseong’s Deokmyeong-ri, Jinju’s Hotan-dong, and Boseong’s Bibong-ri, all designated as Natural Monuments. Designed to simulate time travel to the Cretaceous period, this content allows visitors to wear a VR headset and explore these ancient sites in 360° — encountering the dinosaurs and ecosystems that once roamed the region. The VR experience was deployed through TRIC’s “Mobile Digital Heritage Experience Center,” designed specifically for digital access in underserved regions. It features universal design principles and tactile feedback devices, ensuring accessibility for all users. By transcending physical and geographic limits, this realistic VR content connects the present-day fossil sites with their prehistoric past, enhancing educational value and helping bridge the cultural heritage gap across regions.
